item7

In 1944, during the midst of World War II, John Harris began farming on the land that is now Harris Farm on Buzzell Road in Dayton. Since then, three generations of the Harris Family have farmed these five-hundred acres of rich soil and rolling pastures. In the spring of 1996, we made a strong commitment to quality and the environment by offering our own milk in glass bottles. Top quality has always been our top priority, and we take pride in the care taken to ensure that our products are the best you can find anywhere. Stop in with your family to enjoy the beautiful open space and take home the absolute best food you can buy.

For three generations, Harris Farm has been family owned and operated. We take pride in the care that we provide our land and our animals. All of our animals are born and raised on the farm, and all of their feed is grown here and produced by us - the Harris Family. We are proud of this and strive to keep this farm in our family for generations to come.

Eco-Friendly Agriculture

• Cattle (dairy and beef) spend much of the year grazing on lush pasture.

• Our animals recieve alternative healing, preventive treatments, and a low-stress environment.

• Fields and pastures are fertilized naturally with our own compost.

• Calves nurse off of mother cows year-round, on pasture in the summer.

• Beneficial Insects are used for polination and pest management.

• No-till and minimum-till practices are used to reduce erosion.
